Time for EU Member States to commit to the EU Strategy on the Rights of the Child
On 7 October 2021, the Council of the EU, comprised of representatives of EU Member States, failed to reach an agreement on adopting Council Conclusions in support of the EU Strategy on the Rights of the Child. Anglof Regional Foundation & Humanitarian Relief Agency (ARFHRA), along with 17 other civil society organisations advocating for children’s rights, are hugely disappointed in this apparent lack of commitment to the rights of children in and outside the EU.

Through our partnerships with national governments, civil society organisations, international agencies, corporate donors and committed individuals, we are helping to build a global movement that will eliminate orphanages in our lifetime.

Anglof Regional Foundation & Humanitarian Relief Agency (ARFHRA) is working alongside governments and civil society organisations in over 30 countries to dismantle orphanage-based care systems. Our transformation model is driving reform and laying the foundations for long-lasting change.

Tom is 17 and looking forward to his first family Christmas in five years, after leaving his orphanage and moving home with his dad, stepmother, grandmother and sisters.
